Trump Cites Reagan As Inspiration For Handling National Health Crisis

At a recent press conference, President Trump cited former president Ronald Reagan as his main source of inspiration for his handling of the current national health crisis.

“In his case, he was also dealing with a highly contagious disease that killed a few good people,” Trump commented. “Just like this, that was also spread mostly through handshakes.”

When asked what specific tactics used by Reagan he might emulate, Trump said he liked how quickly Reagan helped the country move on from the crisis.

“He maybe talked about it for 30 seconds, and then the whole thing was over,” Trump said. “I don’t even remember what that one was called. Polio or something?”
